Vikram is the Managing Director of Dough Works and is responsible for driving the progress and development of the business and its brands including steering the development of new store openings and other business opportunities like the recent acquisition of KFC Tanzania.
He is an accomplished leader and manager with several years of hands-on experience with particular expertise in the Food and Beverage Industry, and of recent the Quick Service Restaurant Industry and Supply Chain Management within frontier markets. Vikram is hands on and accustomed to working under pressure and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Additionally, Vikram is on the board of Strategis Insurance, he is also a Director at Chai Bora (Tanzania’s largest tea brand), and M2 Advertising Agency (a 360 full-service Advertising Agency).
Shaffin graduated from the American University of London in the mid 90’s, and moved back to Tanzania to help grow the family portfolio; today it is one of the leading investment houses within the East African region.
Shaffin serves as the Managing Director of Union Trust Investments (which has interests in Banking, Insurance, Hotels, Agriculture, Mining & Real Estate).
He is furthermore the Founding Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (Tanzanian Chapter).
Ankush is a Managing Director at Sumaria Group, a large family-owned investment holding company operating across multiple sectors such as the manufacturing of plastic packaging (Silafrica) and piping systems as well as Nyanza Bottling Company, a Coca-Cola franchisee in Tanzania.
Over the last decade Ankush has worked in East Africa with many partners – including private equity, DFIs, banks and multinationals – to create value in sectors such as manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals (Shelys/Beta Pharmaeuticals), real estate, quick service restaurants and tech/telecoms.
Ankush is also Chairman of Creams Café Ltd, the largest quick service dessert restaurant chain in the UK (with over 90 outlets). He also sits on multiple boards of fast-growing tech companies, including Cell Capital, a London-based venture capital firm.
Thierry holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from Paris IX-Dauphine University in France and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales in 1993. He started his career in investment banking in London at Flemings and later joined Blakeney Management, a London-based investment boutique, focusing on Africa and the Middle East. Thierry later moved back to Mauritius and co-founded Kibo Capital Partners in 2007 with Jean-Pierre Dalais in a venture with CIEL Limited to pursue his belief that Africa offers attractive opportunities for private equity.
Christoph is a partner at Kibo Capital Partners, a private equity fund that invest in SMEs across Sub-Saharan Africa and one of the shareholders of Dough Works.
Prior to joining Kibo Capital Partners in 2014 Christoph was Vice President at the DEG/KfW Group, where he structured and managed equity and mezzanine investments across Africa. He previously worked in M&A for Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan.
In 2001 Christoph co-founded Vistage Germany, working closely with CEOs of midsized corporations.
